We have been working with data and cloud infrastructures, leading real projects with top professionals and vendors worldwide since 2008; we know the stuff that works at scale.

This is our funny style… we are dads, husbands, engineers, mentors, and certified trainers, but people say (unbelievably) they understand what we are talking about…

When Miguel’s son was six and in kindergarten, his teacher, Jero, called him and asked if he was a military or a civilian pilot. Both surprised and curious, Miguel asked her why she thought he was a pilot, and she said Pablo had stated that his dad worked «in the cloud» And that’s why she felt he had to be a pilot or something like that. We laughed a lot that day. We became good friends, and she asked Miguel to talk to the kids about what Cloud Engineers or Data Engineers do in these new professions that did not exist a few years ago.

We learn far better when we use stories and anecdotes. This is our style. This is one of the best ways to learn anything. So, if you are pleased to join these gentle (delta) tables from the bar and have fun with cloud architecture and big data engineering thingies, it is here, filling out this form and accepting to receive our email lessons (we promise not to scratch your «parquets»):

Thousands have learned data engineering and cloud architecture with us through courses and international events. We go beyond theory, bringing hands-on, technical experience from leading big, technically complex projects, focusing on what truly works in the real world, not just textbook concepts

What happens if I sign up for your cloud architects and data engineer’s newsletter?

You will receive three wise emails with three savvy lessons.

In our first email lesson, we will let you know one concept many well-talented cloud architects and data engineers aren’t considering, so they are letting money along the road, and how easy it could be to change this to the opposite. It took a while for Enrique and Miguel, and you can take advantage of this critical life lesson (and let me tell you something: your boss will not like it at all).

In our second email pill, you will learn a weird habit that, as simple as it is, many cloud and data professionals find hard to believe and can’t follow after a month. This concept is paramount to understanding why certification could have so much value or be worthless.

In our third email lesson, you will discover a guy who said no to AWS’s offer after they paid for the trip to Seattle for the final recruitment interviews with the company’s teams. You will have solid arguments to evaluate a good offer or move to the following process.

Organizations deploying generative AI (GenAI) services will look to the public cloud, given the scale of the infrastructure required; however, deploying GenAI effectively will require cloud providers (& professionals) to address nontechnical issues related to cost, economics, sovereignty, privacy, and sustainability. (Gartner 2023)

Being a hilarious data engineer or cloud architect has a point of humor that helps (really helps) on those days…

Let’s put it a little bit rational… we know, and you know, too:

«Companies need the best-skilled data and cloud professionals.»

Cloud computing and data engineering are two of the most in-demand and lucrative fields in the IT industry. According to Gartner, the global cloud services market is expected to grow by 20.4 % in 2024, reaching $678.8 billion. Similarly, data engineering is projected to have a 50 % annual growth rate by 2025, creating more than 11.5 million new jobs. These trends show a high demand for professionals who can design, develop, and manage cloud and data systems.

— (However, an often-overlooked aspect is that many companies struggle to find the right talent, a challenge linked to why 87% of data projects never reach the production phase*.)

(*) After your first three email lessons, you will know more about who said this, and using these techniques will elevate your knowledge, which is paramount for being a better data and cloud professional today.

We’ve integrated those simple, yet powerful habits into our daily routine and, believe it or not, these practices have enabled us to make strategic decisions, like choosing the right company or project to work on and negotiating better salaries.

And what happens next?

Every week, we will send you an email with a story and a lesson to help you succeed in your data engineer or cloud architect career if you know how to use them wisely, about trends, best practices, news, and soft skills like negotiating a salary increase, finding another job, or implement much higher-quality solutions.

If you want to know how to improve your income as a data engineer or cloud architect, maybe these figures could help shape the next steps in your career but consider that this is not as easy as requested and that it is. No way… There are some things to consider and work to do to be in the best position to negotiate your salary increase, and you must have some resources that are very clear about what we talk about in our mail lessons.

It’s not that different from being a well-skilled Cloud Architect.

Look and check if you could have some fun and learn something easy to apply to get a new job or improve your professional career:

Who the hell did you say you are, guys?
